No class at all!

This is hilaroius...(and this post isn't aimed at you, yankeesfan). But here is how it is. JIB has beaten PV 3 years in a row. And, JIBs players seem to be good kids. They work hard and they play to win. But,JIB fans seem to look more highly upon beating PV than bringing home a crown from the State Finals..so congratulations. Since 1972 burton has a stellar 4-31 record vs. PV. JIB hates to talk about the past unless it is the past 3 years...which just so happens to be 3/4 of their success vs. PV in 35 years. But yet they all say they were cheated out of the state title for the past 3 years...which includes a 41 point loss to Franklin, an 18 point loss to WC and a 1 point loss to Riverheads based on a bad call late in a game that JIB was dominated in for 3 1/2 quarters. With this situation, no wonder Burton can't rise above the rest to win a title cuz their fans can't get their minds past beatin PV. With the current mindset there, the closest anyone from Burton will get to a State ring is 13 miles and 12 miles...the distance it takes to drive to BSG and Appy respectively. It is one thing to win a disrtict title...but what seperates the great teams from district champions isn't running a mouth or acting like a jacka$$..it's winning the gold at state...until then you are nothing more than a local phonemenon. But, with what I saw last night, I don't think either team will win it all this year either. I hope I'm wrong..but don't think so.

Your talking about teenage boys, you just belittled their accomplishments with that "go get us another runner-up trophy" comment. So your one of those people just on a different medium. Burton won, thats all that is going to come from this game. Good luck to PV on the rest of their season. Go Raiders!

I can't believe I just read thru the past 10 pages. Complete ignorance from both sides.

I have been around for a long time and I have seen incidents at all of the LPD Schools, plus back in District 8 Days. It happens. That doens't make it right. I saw some rude PV fans where I was standing, and I am sure there were some rude Burton Fans. PV played a good enought game to win, except for the fumbles. Emotions tend to run high in these type of games and it is good to root for your team. Let's be civil here and go on. I will now root for Burton to go all the way as will I PV.

I want this to be known that I am not from either BSG or Norton. There was a very well played game last night between two well matched teams. To Powell Valleys credit defensively they played a very tough game that honestly they should have won if they had not shot themselves in the foot. To Norton you are a very good team. I liked the fact that they were smart enough to sub players in and out the whole game. They have alot of speed in the skill positions but I am afraid that up front they will be in trouble if they run in a strong team. Im sorry to say that the great game was tarnished in my eyes because of the fans from both teams acting completely out of line. I dont understand when winning is simply not enough and why fans have to make themselves , their team and also their community into what I saw as being a group of thugs. I hope that I never have to see fans act in a way as I saw last night.

I will go on record right and say that none of the following will win a state title this year:
